Jigget Gut, also known as DeJongh Gut or Brower's Gut nicknames given for the families that used to live on the perimeter. The gut areas were traditionally used as a local thoroughfare where one could find townspeople washing laundry, racing matchbox, or traveling from areas above town down to the harbor. The Virgin Islands Economic Development Association Enterprise & Commercial Zone Commission hosts a historical tour through the Savan (Savanne) neighborhood.
