  • Trash collected by residents and volunteers during the Savan Clean-Up & Repair Project is awaiting collection, left, while across the street, paint is drying on homes painted by volunteers that morning to cover graffiti. While the basketball court and community center are a popular area for local residents during the day and evening, there are still a number of problems in need of attention. Broken down bleachers and basketball hoops, graffiti, and piles of trash are still visible around Savan. While much has been done by the community thus far during the Community Action event, support is still needed by government agencies like Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Waste Management.
